January passed quickly with a mix of weather and a range of activities. We celebrated a few birthdays, caught the annual Ringling Brothers animal parade, and had fun inside and out.
Aaron has had such a great month of Christmas preparation. We had a fun morning of opening presents and assembling the new toys. Aaron and mom are a bit under the weather so the visiting and excitement were a bit more subdued than would have otherwise been. We still had a nice time and will continue to enjoy the holiday for at least another week.
Happy Thanksgiving! We had a great holiday with our family, locally this year since mom is not too keen to go on any long car rides with baby girl getting big in her belly. Aaron helped make the apple pie and didn’t complain about the smell of fruit while doing so.
Since Aaron has been so excited about Christmas already, we decided to put up the tree yesterday. Certainly 2 weeks earlier than usual at least for us. He had a great time caroling and helping every step of the way. He provided the “party spirit” and hung lots of ornaments on the same low branches. It’s a very colorful number this year. We love it!
We fulfilled one of Aaron’s dreams this weekend with a ride on the Polar Express along with Grammy and Pop-Pop. We all had a great time! Aaron was very impressed and is thrilled to know that after talking with Santa, the elves are hard at work making his requested toy.
We had fun last weekend too with great weather we hit one more pumpkin patch and had our holiday family photos taken with a parked train.
